Field Operations Manager

Piper Maddox is partnered with a leading renewables company focused on climate technology. They are seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to lead the deployment and operations of a new project at a new facility.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a small plant or start-up environment, with exposure to continuous process facilities. This person should bring strong management skills, operational leadership, and comfortable working in a field-based setting.

Responsibilities :

• Own operational performance across deployed sites: uptime targets, production rates, equipment reliability.
• Manage day-to-day field operations: coordinate with site partners, troubleshoot issues, optimize performance.
• Drive equipment reliability: establish preventive maintenance programs, root cause analysis, spare parts inventory management.
• Manage operational budget; track OpEx and report budget vs. actuals.
• Lead a team of technicians.

Qualifications :

• Composting, biochar, biomass, chemicals, waste-to-value, or carbon credit industry exposure.
• Experience deploying or commissioning new industrial technologies or modular systems.
• Startup or early-stage company experience.
• Experience managing multi-shift teams.
• Open to travel up to 40-50%.
