The interventional radiology service works alongside radiology residents and fellows, follows American College of Radiology practice parameters, and covers the full range of vascular and non-vascular intervention: angiography, embolization, stent placement, thrombectomy, drainage and image-guided biopsy.One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417ResponsibilitiesPerform the full range of interventional radiology procedures — angiography, embolization, stent placement, thrombectomy, drainage, image-guided biopsy and Y-90 radioembolization under joint protocolCover the interventional radiology and vascular ultrasound clinics during business hours, including consultation clinicsTake rotating weekday and weekend call for the service, with telephone availability and on-site response when a procedure is requiredServe as attending for radiology residents and fellows rotating through interventional radiologyComplete protocoling and dictation daily, including call casesQualificationsActive, full and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state (Minnesota licensure or IMLC eligibility is an advantage)American Board of Radiology certified with subspecialty certification in interventional radiology (VIR, or IR/DR dual certification)Three or more years of interventional radiology practice, with a procedure log covering the last 12–24 monthsComfortable in a two-physician service with a shared call rotation and resident teachingNo history of a restricted, suspended, surrendered or revoked medical license in any stateFull time, on site, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Two interventional radiologists cover the service together each business day. Call is shared between the two physicians — weeknights from 4:30 PM, and weekends from Friday 4:30 PM to Monday 7:30 AM — and is compensated separately from the on-site rate at $45 per weekday call hour and $50 per weekend or holiday call hour.
