Job Description Manage and oversee Barnhill Building Group safety initiatives, loss‑control programs, and foster a "best‑in‑class" safety culture for field operations. Train and mentor junior safety staff, ensure alignment with company mission, vision, and values, and meet project goals and objectives. Essential Functions Perform safety inspections and audits, articulating company safety vision, objectives, strategies, policies, and procedures. Build a best‑in‑class safety culture by anticipating problems, providing solutions, sharing knowledge, training all levels of staff, interacting with clients, subcontractors, and inspectors, and creating a learning environment. Manage hazard assessment activities through implementation, maintenance, enforcement of safety policies, and analysis of inspection and incident data. Assist with training to meet internal and external safety and health requirements and ensure staff has proper training for tasks. Lead incident investigations and compile data to support claim litigations. Manage the safety operation; motivate, coach, appraise, reward, discipline, and resolve complaints to maintain a safe work environment. Collaborate with third‑party inspections and regulatory agencies to establish effective safety protocols. Qualifications High school degree or equivalent combination of training and work experience. Minimum 10years of experience in construction safety management. Required certificates: NC Driver License, OSHA500, CSP preferred, MSHA Certified (Part46), Train the Trainer in First Aid, Forklift, Trenching Competent Person, Work Zone Safety, and Flagger training.
