Details Works in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of an acute care hospital Performs cardiovascular procedures including ASD repair, CABG, MAZE procedure, mitral valve replacement, and TAVR Uses cell saver equipment Epic EMR used for charting Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours (7:00 AM-5:00 PM) On-call responsibilities required, including weekend on-call Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities Open to block scheduling Requirements Active AK RN license required, strong preference for license in hand (pending license accepted) Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience required Skilled in administration of blood and blood products, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol (time out) procedures, and wound management Knowledgeable in emergency management and fire safety protocols 2 references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required, may include Charge RNs/Leads Must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem), including location and dates if applicable Additional Information Facility is a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma hospital recognized as a USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska Scrubs provided by facility Free parking available First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered, as local candidates are not accepted Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travancer and must reside outside the 50-mile radius All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application, as post-submission RTO requests may not be granted Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Refusal to float between sister facilities may result in termination of assignment American Traveler Job ID P-750126.
