Shift times vary between 07:00-17:00. Weekend coverage required (every other weekend or 4 weekend days per 4-week schedule). Guaranteed 72 hours per 2-week period. Caseload of approximately 30 patients. Highlights: Work at a prestigious Magnet-designated acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center, recognized as the best hospital in Alaska Join a 407-bed facility with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams Provide discharge planning and case management services across diverse patient populations including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics Utilize Epic electronic medical records system in a collaborative, well-resourced environment 13-week travel assignment with potential for extension (up to 1 calendar year maximum) Free parking and scrubs provided Requirements: Active Alaska RN license required (pending licenses may be screened but license must be in hand for offer) Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience required Acute care hospital experience required (behavioral health experience does not qualify) Epic EMR experience required BLS certification preferred ACM (Accredited Case Manager) certification preferred Experience with utilization review criteria (InterQual, Milliman Guidelines), ICD-10 coding, and discharge planning preferred Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) Willingness to float within case management services as needed Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted) Why Join Us?
