Staff Accountant

About the Role:

The Staff Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of the company's financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting function. This position is responsible for general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and assisting with the month-end close process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team while gaining hands-on experience across multiple areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

• Support accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable functions

• Assist in preparation of financial statements and internal reports

• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes

• Assist with external audits and provide requested documentation

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred

• 1-3 years of accounting experience

• Understanding of GAAP principles

• Previous background in construction industry, WIP / CIP reporting or job cost accounting preferred

• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar)

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Locations and Hours

• This role will be based in Justin, TX, Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary for this role will be between $50,000 - $85,000 depending on experience.
