Stone Mad Pub is a fast paced restaurant located in Gordon Square . We are looking for a dedicated and hands-on culinary leader to join our kitchen.

Job Overview

The Sous Chef works directly under the Executive Chef to run day-to-day kitchen operations, manage the line during service, and maintain our high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation. You will step up to lead the kitchen in the Executive Chef's absence and help train, mentor, and inspire our line cooks.

Key Responsibilities

• Line Leadership: Oversee food preparation and run the line smoothly during busy service shifts.
• Quality & Consistency: Ensure every plate matches established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
• Team Supervision: Assist in scheduling, direct kitchen staff, and train new or existing cooks on station prep and plating.
• Inventory & Ordering: Help track stock, manage food inventory, and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Safety & Sanitation: Enforce strict health, safety, and kitchen sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Menu Collaboration: Work alongside the Executive Chef to develop new daily specials or seasonal menu items.
• Kitchen Management: Fill in for the Executive Chef and handle administrative or operational tasks when required.
