Strategic Procurement Manager

Strategic Procurement Manager Responsibilities: Serve as the trusted partner and primary point of contact for internal business partners, guiding them through the entire end‑to‑end procurement lifecycle, from initial need identification through vendor selection to contract execution, demonstrating a high sense of ownership. Proactively engage with cross‑functional stakeholders—including Legal, Infosec, IT, and FP&A—to preemptively identify and address their technical, financial, and risk‑related requirements throughout the procurement process. Manage multiple business unit and vendor engagements and high‑volume procurement activities simultaneously across diverse indirect spend categories. Collaborate with business partners and the Procurement team to develop, enhance, and execute category strategies. Support sourcing initiatives, including RFIs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations. Maintain vendor relationships, manage contract renewals, and monitor supplier performance where applicable. Work closely with Legal, Finance, and IT teams to ensure contract compliance and risk mitigation. Conduct market and supplier research to stay current on trends and benchmark pricing. Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and best practices; educate business partners accordingly. Support continuous improvement initiatives across the procurement organization. Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain—preferably in the software or technology domain. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. Basic proficiency and demonstrable experience with fundamental contractual terms and commercial agreements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite / Google Workspace; experience with procurement tools (e.g., NetSuite) and financial planning/ERP systems (e.g., Anaplan, Oracle). Experience with project management/productivity tools (e.g., Monday.com, FreshService, SharePoint) is a strong plus. Demonstrable experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to enhance procurement efficiency and insights is a great plus. Excellent relationship‑building skills. Ability to act strategically while being a hands‑on team member. Preferred: Experience in indirect procurement within a mid‑to‑large sized enterprise; familiarity with software licensing models / SaaS agreements. Experience with one or more indirect categories is a plus. Strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
