Atrium is seeking on behalf of our client a HR Coordinator based in Clifton, NJ . A background check may be run only after a conditional offer is made, where permitted by law . Location : Clifton, NJ Employment Type : Full-time Compensation : $65-75K Position Overview The HR Coordinator will provide comprehensive support across various human resources functions, including payroll, benefits, recruitment, and employee relations. This role ensures accurate data management, compliance with employment laws, and timely execution of HR processes. The HR Coordinator will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver a positive employee experience. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Responsibilities Process and support payroll administration, including employee data updates, timekeeping review, payroll audits, and coordination with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including preparing new hire paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, coordinating system access, and maintaining personnel records. Support benefits administration by assisting employees with benefit enrollments, changes, leave requests, and responding to general benefits inquiries. Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and supporting the hiring process. Maintain employee records and HRIS data, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies. Assist with employee relations matters by responding to routine HR inquiries and supporting employee engagement initiatives. Prepare HR reports, audits, and documentation related to compliance, headcount, payroll, and workforce metrics. Support leave of absence administration, workers' compensation claims, and other employee programs as needed. Assist with performance management processes, training programs, and professional development initiatives. Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources team and contribute to special projects as assigned. Required Experience/Skills Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience, preferably within a professional services, legal, or corporate environment. Experience supporting payroll processing and employee data management. Knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and HR best practices. Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service-oriented approach. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience/Skills Prior experience in law, banking, or financial services environments. Familiarity with benefits administration and leave management processes. Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding activities. Knowledge of compliance reporting and HR audits. Exposure to employee engagement and performance management programs. Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline required. HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred but not required. Continuing education in HR compliance and employment law is a plus.
