Fuel your career with GEODIS and discover endless growth opportunities.Your role on the team:Establishes and leads operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse/distribution center inventory currentEnsures the physical condition of warehouse and equipment are properly maintainedEnsures work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment are submitted to the appropriate personsConfers with others to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functional areas such as customer service and salesPartners with the customer to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by communicating frequently with customers and following up on customer concerns and requestsEnsures safe operation of the warehouse including meeting company standards for sanitation, maintenance, safety, and securityEnsures operational excellence in all warehouse areas, related equipment, and warehouse management systemsLeads an efficient and successful operations while successfully mitigating any barriers to successPartners with engineering to implement and maintain proper layout of warehouse and product placementMonitors and ensures facility key performance indicators (KPI) are met in a timely and cost effective manner to ensure the profitability and productivity of the distribution centerEnsures adequate staffing, training, coaching and development for employeesReports employees' hours worked to Payroll on a weekly basisProvides hands on management of the distribution center including interviewing, hiring, and training Supervisory and hourly staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; and appraising performance to create a strong company cultureEnsures compliance with CTPAT, ISO, AIB, and others regulatory certifications as applicableEffectively manages the budget and P&L of the operationAddresses complaints and resolves problemsFor food accounts, incumbent is responsible to report food safety problems to senior management to initiate actionExperience with warehouse management systems preferredExperience with labor management systems and productivity initiatives preferredLean certifications preferredMust be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPointAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general publicAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formAccess wages early with the Rain financial wellness appFree telemedical access to doctors and therapists through First Stop Health is available on the first day of employment!Health, dental, and vision insurance after 30 days of employment401k matchPaid maternity and parental leaveAccess to career development, employee resource groups, and mentorship programsEmployee discountsAccess to employee perks like fitness class discounts and free access to a relaxation and meditation appFree financial wellness programsDaycare discount programOpportunities to volunteer and give back to your community+ more!Join our Team!Visit our website at workatGEODIS.com and chat with our virtual recruiter, Sophie, to fast-track your way to an interview.ORText DELIVER to 88300 to apply!
