Sales Consultant

Job Summary The Sales Associate at La‑Z‑Boy is responsible for selling Home Comfort Furniture and related services, delivering a premium customer experience, and meeting store sales goals. The role involves training in luxury sales, interior trends, and design consultation, with the opportunity to grow through unlimited commission. Key Responsibilities Interact with customers professionally and enthusiastically to provide the highest level of service. Drive sales by successfully promoting and selling La‑Z‑Boy furniture, accessories, and services. Complete all sales paperwork accurately and handle customer service issues promptly. Attend and participate in company training, store meetings, and product knowledge sessions. Assist in training, coaching, and developing new peers on La‑Z‑Boy product knowledge and sales processes. Maintain accurate order information, collect deposits/fees, keep orderly customer records, and research payments and deliveries. Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to harassment, attendance, sales, and customer interaction. Perform a minimum number of house calls to customer homes as required and maintain a sales average consistent with company standards. Competencies & Qualifications High School diploma or GED required. Strong interpersonal, communication, and rapport‑building skills. Experience in retail or luxury sales preferred. Ability to close sales and work independently with minimal supervision. Organizational and problem‑solving skills. Proficient with computer technology. Must be able to bend, lift, and stand for long periods and have reliable transportation for customer visits. Compensation Training Pay: $22.00 per hour for 2 weeks (no commission). After training: Base salary $45,864 per year, with un‑capped monthly commission ranging from 6% to 7.5% on individual written sales based on meeting specific sales goals.
