Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy TechnicianLarge managed care company is looking for pharmacy technicians to pick, label, scan, and otherwise prepare the finished prescription for final verification by a pharmacist. These are contract to hire positions.Work location: 1781 Westbelt Dr, Columbus, OH 43228Pay: $19.00Contract dates: Contract to hireHours: Mon-Fri 4pm-close, rotating weekends may be required.Responsibilities:Fills daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner, under the supervision of a pharmacistAssists in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedureAssists in prepacking frequently ordered medications, label and store, as needed during low volume timesPackages materials and products manuallyPulls/picks medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (prepack racks)Applies labels to blister cards and then scans product for accuracy checkAlerts pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properlyMaintains designated workstation areas and replenishes all stock supplies neededQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentPossess and maintain a clear and active OH pharmacy technician licensePrevious pharmacy technician experienceMay sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.
