About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 or 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of Level 4 NICU experience required. License: State license required Certifications: BLS, NRP, RRT required. PALS preferred. Must-Have: Candidates must have experience in cardiac PICU. Experience with a self-scheduling model is preferred. Ability to work in all units of the Children's Client is necessary. Description: The candidate will provide care for patients in the NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics. The role requires strong communication and critical thinking skills. Competence in caring for neonatal patients is essential. The Respiratory Therapist will need to work every other weekend and holiday. Two out of three winter holidays must be worked. Working knowledge of specific respiratory equipment and procedures is vital. The position involves caring for patients with congenital cardiac defects, including those on ECMO. The candidate must be comfortable with advanced respiratory interventions. Experience with high-frequency oscillators and jet ventilators is required. Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team is necessary for patient care.
