About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks or 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a Level 4 NICU and pediatric critical care. License: Current state license. Pending licenses accepted, must obtain temporary license before start. Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT Must-Have: Experience in high-risk deliveries and pediatric critical care. Description: This position involves providing care for neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients. The Respiratory Therapist should have competency in caring for patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Strong communication and critical thinking skills are essential for working in a multidisciplinary team. The Respiratory Therapist will be required to work across different units. Experience with cardiac PICU is preferred. Staffing model includes self-scheduling, allowing some flexibility, though a desired schedule is not guaranteed. The role includes participation in high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports. Competence in using advanced ventilators and respiratory therapy equipment is required. Candidates must be willing to work every other weekend and holiday, including two out of three winter holidays. The facility provides comprehensive primary and specialty care in multiple specialties. Expectations include assisting with various respiratory procedures and maintaining respiratory hygiene.
