Authorization Specialist - Orthotics & Prosthetics


We're partnering with one of the nation's leading Orthotics & Prosthetics providers to hire an Authorization Specialist for their NYC office. This is a full-time opportunity offering stability, growth, and the chance to make an impact in a patient-centered healthcare organization.

What an Authorization Specialist Does
  • Handle insurance verification, benefits review, and prior authorizations.

  • Track approvals and resolve authorization issues with clinical and billing teams.

  • Ensure documentation and authorizations are complete for timely billing.

  • Maintain accurate records to support compliance and audits.

  • Support administrative workflows and assist with staff training as needed.
Authorization Specialist Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of healthcare administrative experience focused on insurance authorizations.

  • Strong knowledge of billing, reimbursement, and compliance.

  • Experience with practice management systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

  • Orthotics, prosthetics, or orthopedic experience a plus.
