Contract Terms: 10 Month Salary Classification: Support Staff Salary Schedule Group C $16.73

General Statement Of Responsibilities: To demonstrate a caring and positive relationship with parents and students; to have a positive working relationship with the Director or Principal and other staff members and to assist in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of an office.

Essential Functions:

• Receives telephone calls, takes messages, answers questions, routes calls as necessary;
• Assists with routine office work, i.e., processing mail and assisting staff with clerical and informational needs;
• Prepares reports as required;
• Files as needed; Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

A. Required Education, Training & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Less than one year of work experience;
• Strong computer skills, including word-processing ability;
• Ability to communicate and work well with staff.

Performance Expectations:

• Time Management: Routine work with occasional planning of two to twelve weeks in advance;

• Public Contact: Interacts with students, staff members and parents;
• Level Of Responsibility: Performs job duties, as assigned.

Evaluation Procedure: In accordance with Governing Board policy.

Supervision Received: Director or appropriate site principal; Supervisory Responsibility: None.
