Inventory Management Specialist Lead with Security Clearance

Position Overview Responsible for all warehouse support service activities supporting the Navy Medical Readiness Logistic Command’s (NMRLC) Expeditionary Medical System (EXMED) mission. Duties include receiving, shipping, storing (stowing), selecting (picking) supply turn‑in (disposal), packing (kitting and stuffing) or unpacking (downloading) and inventory of general or specialized material and equipment. The MMS will utilize the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) database or Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) database or other DoD authorized systems to accurately account for and process the Table of Allowances (TOA) which are sometimes also referred to as Authorized Medical Allowance Lists (AMALs) or Authorized Dental Allowance Lists (ADALs) which comprise EXMEDS. Duties and Responsibilities Be proficient in the use of the DMLSS, HIMS or other authorized database of record for routine processes. Provide warehouse support pertaining to warehouse logistics, including receiving, shipping, storing (stowing), selecting (picking) supply turn‑in (disposal), packing (kitting and stuffing) or unpacking (downloading) and inventory of general or specialized material and equipment. Perform inventory and documentation of supply stock utilizing DMLSS or other military database of record. Make adjustments to stock levels as directed and support excess or unserviceable material disposal processes. Review, stock, and re‑supply medical logistics items. This will include removing and replacing all outdated or expired items from shelves or kitted EXMEDS. Perform quality control on transaction records and file documents appropriately and promptly. Research quality assurance messages utilizing DMLSS, or other military database of record. Review a wide variety of documents to ensure that the proper information has been included. Obtain missing information from supporting documents, supervisor, or specialist/analyst and resolve inconsistencies or discrepancies, deviations from general rules, or major omissions. Perform receiving duties including receiving, unloading, and processing incoming shipments. Check accompanying documentation against containers or packing labels. Follow established procedures in reporting over, short, or damaged items. Open container and remove dunnage and other packing materials. Segregate material according to material type (i.e., equipment, consumable, narcotic, pilferable item, HAZMAT, etc.). Based on information in automated system, generate labels and route and/or move material to staging areas or stow locations. Perform inventory control work supporting a broad range of duties required to accomplish the mission of a large production, sustainment, and distribution center. Duties will include counting types, quantities, and condition of items during annual inventories, location surveys, physical inventory, material handling, material examining and identifying, packing, operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and analyzing, evaluating, and revising command inventory. Perform platform stowing of material. The Government will provide equipment and material to be assigned to each EXMED platform. Material will be stowed by assigned EXMED platform in adjacent locations to facilitate rapid deployment. Perform Pick, Pack, Preserve, and Crate (PPP&C). Packs and repacks a variety of items for kitting and shipping of EXMEDS, utilizing a wide variety of standard packing materials, methods, and techniques. Perform administrative duties such as word processing; receipt and completeness of data; correcting errors, modifying as required, and transmission of electronic mail; storing, retrieving, and maintaining electronic documents or files; entering data into a predefined spreadsheet or database. Be adept at general warehouse maintenance activities (warehouse cleanliness and aesthetics). Employees are responsible for their assigned sections/areas of the warehouse. Qualifications and Skills Specialized experience in general supply activities, ordering, receiving, customer support, inventory management, assembly management, warehousing, and operation of various materials handling equipment. Maintain certification in the daily operation of various warehouse equipment (forklifts, side lifts, cherry‑pickers, etc.). Comfortable wearing Personal Protective Equipment during the duty day (steel toe shoes, hard hat, hearing protection, etc.). Experience using and running transactions in the DMLSS or other Medical Materiel Information System(s). Physical requirements: walking, standing, reaching, bending, and moving items. Must be able to lift and carry weights over 40 pounds. Ability to work at an accelerated pace under emergencies or operational demands. Workable in an austere environment. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma. Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or medical warehouse operations. Current valid driver's license. Understands, reads, and writes in English. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Employment Information Job Type: Full-time, Exempt. Work Location: Williamsburg, VA. Travel: Minimal travel may be required.
