You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and report security-related concerns. This role offers the opportunity to provide professional customer service while working collaboratively with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and guided by integrity.

Pay Rate: $17.85 - 18.85 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and building personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, lobbies, parking facilities, loading docks, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery or contractor entry in accordance with site policies; report unusual conditions and assist with directing authorized personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications for building management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess at least six months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
