Opportunity Details

• Academic Internal Medicine clinic situated within our Grand Rapids hospital.
• Provide comprehensive outpatient internal medicine services in a residency-based clinic environment.
• This is a Full-Time position, at 0.9 FTE; clinical FTE with no mandatory precepting time.

Our Grand Rapids Campus Offers:

• Adult healthcare services.
• General medical examinations and annual physicals.
• Treatment for acute illnesses, including respiratory and skin infections.
• Immunizations.
• Minor surgical procedures (e.g., stitches, lesion removals).
• Online scheduling and video consultations available.
• Office hours: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.
• Unrestricted call shared among all outpatient internal medicine physicians.
• A supportive team comprising 2 RNs, 4 MAs, 8 triage nurses, 2 BOCs, a care manager, and pharmacy services.
• A close-knit group of physicians fostering a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Open to new graduates.
• Must be board certified in a relevant clinical area or board eligible, with certification expected within five years of the start date (unless sooner required by applicable medical staff bylaws).
• Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain one).
• DEA license.
• ACLS/BLS certification (must be maintained).

Duties & Responsibilities

A typical day may involve:

• Delivering direct patient care.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Participating in teaching and mentoring activities.
• Documenting patient information in Epic EMR.
• Engaging in quality improvement initiatives.
• Supporting community health initiatives.
