Lead Systems EngineerRequired Skills & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related engineering discipline.Experience developing system architectures and system-level designs.Strong understanding of requirements decomposition and requirements management.Experience creating: System block diagrams, Architecture diagrams, Signal flow diagrams, and Interface documentationExperience supporting vendor management activities, including SOW development and technical specifications.Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.Experience serving as a technical lead or senior engineer on complex engineering programs.Nice to Have Skills & Experience: Commercial aircraft interiors experience.Experience supporting wide-body aircraft programs.Prior aircraft systems integration experience related to cabin, interior, mechanical, or electrical systems.Aerospace or defense industry background.Experience working with aircraft modifications, upgrades, or new aircraft development programs.Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, and development of aircraft systems for a cutting-edge aerospace platform. This individual will serve as a technical leader responsible for translating requirements into system architectures, creating system-level designs, evaluating vendors, and supporting the integration of mechanical and electrical subsystems throughout the aircraft.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, architecture development, and requirements decomposition, along with experience collaborating across mechanical and electrical engineering teams. This role will focus heavily on aircraft systems located in the aft section of the aircraft and will help drive technical decisions from concept through implementation.Decompose customer and program requirements into actionable system and subsystem requirements.Develop system architectures, block diagrams, interface definitions, and signal flow diagrams.Create and maintain system design documentation, architecture artifacts, and technical specifications.Support the selection, evaluation, and management of external vendors and suppliers.Develop and review Statements of Work (SOWs), vendor specifications, and technical requirements.Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to integrate complex aircraft systems.Lead technical discussions regarding system design, interfaces, performance requirements, and integration strategies.Support trade studies and engineering decision-making throughout the product lifecycle.Ensure system designs meet program requirements, safety standards, and certification objectives.Provide technical leadership and mentorship as a senior-level contributor within the engineering organization.
