Pharmacist – Warwick, RI
We are seeking a licensed Rhode Island Pharmacist to join a busy pharmacy team and provide safe, accurate, and patient-focused medication services.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Day shift: 9:30 AM–6:00 PM
- Evening shift: 1:30 PM–10:00 PM
- Evening coverage may be required 1–2 nights per week
Responsibilities
- Review, prepare, and dispense prescription medications accurately
- Ensure medications are appropriate and compliant with pharmacy laws and regulations
- Counsel patients on proper medication use, dosage, storage, side effects, and drug interactions
- Monitor medication compliance and identify potential medication-related concerns
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient and pharmacy records
- Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication needs
- Compound medications for internal or external use
- Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures
- Educate patients on medications and medical devices
- Maintain pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, clerks, interns, and other pharmacy staff
- Identify and address drug-related problems and patient safety concerns
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Active Rhode Island Pharmacist license
- Strong patient counseling and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the healthcare team
- Flexibility to work 1–2 evening shifts per week
