About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Investor Relations to take on a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the external capital markets voice. This is a senior leadership position responsible for building and maturing the investor relations function, with a focus on debt-only investor bases such as bondholders and rating agencies. The successful candidate will be the primary architect of the company's external narrative, ensuring consistent and accurate communication. This role is highly visible and involves close partnership with the CFO/CIO, Treasury, Actuarial, and Legal teams. The VP will also be involved in strategic projects and is expected to have a strong background in finance, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as the function evolves. Applicants for the Vice President of Investor Relations role at the company should have 7-10+ years' of experience in investor relations, corporate treasury, capital markets, or a related finance function, preferably within insurance, financial services, or a rated issuer. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with an MBA or CFA being a plus. The ideal candidate will have strong financial and analytical skills, excellent written communication abilities, and the comfort to work with both statutory and GAAP financial statements. Key capabilities include the ability to build a function with limited precedent, executive presence for high-level engagements, and the capacity to manage an evolving mandate. Familiarity with insurance rating agency processes is advantageous. The role demands a professional with sound judgment, capable of operating with two senior reporting relationships, and adept at aligning with both before external commitments.
