About the Role:
The Director of Human Resources will lead the strategic development and execution of all human capital initiatives to support the organization's growth and operational excellence. This role is responsible for shaping a positive workplace culture, driving employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations across the United States. The Director will collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives, fostering talent acquisition, retention, and development. They will oversee the design and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits programs, as well as performance management systems. Ultimately, this position ensures that the organization attracts, develops, and retains a diverse and high-performing workforce that contributes to long-term success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in human resources management.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or MBA.
- Professional HR certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR.
- Experience working in a multi-state or national organization.
- Demonstrated success in leading diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and data analytics tools.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts, including workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding processes.
- Oversee employee relations, conflict resolution, and ensure a positive and inclusive workplace environment.
- Manage compensation, benefits, and performance management programs to motivate and retain employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to management on HR policies, organizational changes, and employee development.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to promote a respectful and supportive workplace.
- Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports to inform leadership decisions and continuous improvement.
- Lead and mentor the HR team to build capabilities and deliver high-quality HR services.

The Director of Human Resources will utilize strong leadership and strategic planning skills daily to align HR initiatives with organizational goals. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with executives, managers, and employees to foster a positive work environment. Expertise in employment law ensures compliance and risk mitigation across all HR activities. Analytical skills are applied to interpret HR metrics and drive data-informed decisions that enhance workforce performance.
