Showroom Sales Specialist

Primary Responsibilities Provide interior design advice and product expertise, facilitate tile and stone selection, and support project development and completion of sales for all customers. Log all client showroom visits, contact information, and detailed customer preference notes in CMT. Communicate with customers and internal team to track leads and close sales; report monthly sales closures. Prospect for new business with emphasis on Custom Builders and Residential Designers; make outside sales calls and follow up on leads to grow business. Log all visits and appointments in CMT. Maintain showroom samples and merchandising, order, receive, and maintain models and displays; ship customer examples to drive sales. Keep current on design and product offerings and comply with marketing standards for proper showroom merchandising. Plan and host showroom tours and trade events to drive customer sales; attend outside trade events to develop industry relationships and build brand awareness. Evening and weekend hours are required. Experience and Knowledge Required A four‑year degree in a related field, four years of experience, or a combination of a two‑year degree with two years of experience. Competencies: sales/customer engagement, customer service, design/sketching/reading blueprints, color coordination, interior design trends, customer buying habits, creative thinking. Ability to approach unfamiliar situations and conceive innovative solutions quickly, using creative skills to document and sell them to clients. Computer skills: MS Office, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; customer‑management tools a plus. Excellent oral, written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, management, and partners. Other Pertinent Job Information Required to stand, use hands, and reach; may need to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, climb, or balance. May lift up to 80 pounds. Vision requirements include close and peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, wide range of temperatures, and loud noise.
