Warehouse Supervisor-Tier 2 (Water Resources)

Job Overview Incumbents in this classification performs the duties of the function and performs first line supervisory field work. Salary $55,099 - $71,635 *Internal rates may vary based on the selected candidate’s current grade. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate would have graduated from high school or completion of a GED Certificate; and have a minimum of five years’ experience overseeing/managing a Public Utilities Warehouse specifically related to water, wastewater, and reclaimed water materials, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-specific competencies. Ideal Candidate would have a minimum of 3 years’ direct supervision/team lead experience. Ideal candidate would have strong working knowledge of warehousing and procedures, county purchasing protocols, inventory receiving and invoicing experience, computer knowledge and software experience, work effectively with others and follow procedures and written instructions. The candidate should be a self-starter/motivator, is detailed orientated, and can plan, organize, and supervise subordinates. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Florida Driver’s license and will be required to operate a forklift. * Knowledge of and experience with public utilities warehousing related to water and wastewater materials management. * Experience with fiscal practices, procurement, invoicing and receiving and vendor management. * Experience with the implementation of strategic initiatives for process and efficiency improvement. * At least 5 years of experience in public utilities warehousing to include procurement of materials and supplies needed to maintain a large complex utility. Minimum Qualifications Required

• Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate; AND
• 4 years of experience directly related to the position duties; two years of

which must have been in a supervisory or lead worker/team leader capacity; OR * An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted above. Emergency Management Responsibilities In the event of an emergency or disaster, an employee may be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employee’s department, the County’s Office of Emergency Management, or County Administration. Such assignments may be for before, during or after the emergency/disaster.
