Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication needs in a supportive school district near Cherokee, NC. As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you’ll collaborate with dedicated professionals and receive supervision from an experienced district SLP. With a start date as soon as possible and a contract running through May 27th, 2027, you’ll have the chance to make a tangible impact during the school year.

You’ll work a steady 37.5 hours per week across one to two school locations, providing high-quality therapy and intervention. Administrative time is included for indirect services and paid team meetings, allowing you to focus on both student progress and your own professional growth. Supervision is offered for SLPA professionals, ensuring you have the guidance and resources you need.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid SLPA credentials with an active license for North Carolina
• Experience or interest in school-based speech-language therapy
• Confidence in delivering direct therapy and supporting IEP implementation under SLP supervision
• Friendly, flexible, and collaborative approach to working with students and staff
• Ability to start promptly and commit through the end of the contract period
• Willingness to satisfy district onboarding requirements, including fingerprinting

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out direct and indirect speech-language pathology services to K–12 students
• Support assessments, data collection, and IEP documentation in partnership with the supervising SLP
• Collaborate with educators and parents to encourage student success
• Participate in team meetings and maintain accurate records
