Real Estate Head of Acquisitions- Multifamily & Land Full Time Englewood, CO, US $150,000.00 To $175,000.00 Annually Find the deals. Close the deals. Build the portfolio. CIG is looking for a seasoned, driven Head of Acquisitions to own multifamily and land acquisition deal‑making across our target markets. This isn't a back‑office underwriting seat — you'll be on the ground with brokers, owners, and landholders, building the relationships that surface the best off‑market deals, then taking those deals from first call to closing table. You'll bring the judgment that comes from years of closing complex transactions, and a voice leadership trusts when it comes to shaping where and how we grow. This position is hybrid, with an expectation of a minimum of two days per week in the office, balancing in‑person collaboration with travel (60%) to target markets and has a maximum 40% STI (short term incentive – based on goals and objectives) What You'll Own Source deals through a broker, owner, landholder, and lender network you build and own — on‑market and off. Underwrite and model multifamily, industrial and land acquisitions, from first look through Investment Committee approval. Run point on due diligence, negotiations, and closing — coordinating attorneys, lenders, and consultants. Evaluate land entitlement status, zoning, and development feasibility alongside underwriting. Become the go‑to market expert brokers and landowners call first when a deal fits our box. Partner with asset management and construction to hand off deals set up to win. Provide deal‑execution guidance and mentorship to junior acquisitions team members, and contribute directly to market selection and acquisition strategy discussions with leadership. What You Bring 8+ years in real estate acquisitions, with deep, hands‑on experience in both multifamily, industrial and land acquisitions. Sharp underwriting instincts — advanced Excel and Argus Enterprise fluency required. A strong working knowledge of land entitlement, zoning, and development feasibility processes. A track record of sourcing and closing deals directly with brokers, landholders, and sellers. An entrepreneurial, negotiator's mindset and a closer's follow‑through. Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or related field (MBA/MSRE a plus). Willingness to travel up to 60% to be where the deals are. Compensation & Benefits $150,000–$175,000 base salary, commensurate with experience, plus maximum of 40%b performance‑based incentive opportunities (based on personal and department objectives).
