Plant Manager

What You’ll Do Lead daily plant operations across print, paint, CNC, assembly, shipping, receiving, and logistics. Establish production priorities, set departmental goals, and keep work on schedule. Build a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental requirements. Drive improvements in quality, productivity, on-time delivery, labor utilization, and manufacturing cost. Identify and remove production bottlenecks, scrap, rework, and other operational inefficiencies. Apply Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and root-cause problem-solving practices. Coach and develop production supervisors while establishing clear expectations and accountability. Partner with Sales, Design, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, and Finance. Manage labor, material, equipment, and other plant expenses. Use ERP and manufacturing data to monitor performance and make informed operational decisions. Recruit, develop, and retain strong manufacturing talent. Create and maintain clear production processes, procedures, and controls. What Experience You’ll Have At least 10 years of manufacturing experience, ideally within a custom, project-driven, or high-mix environment. At least 7 years of people-leadership experience with direct accountability for operational results. Experience leading multiple production departments or manufacturing functions. Demonstrated success improving safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, labor utilization, and cost. Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and hands‑on experience leading plant safety. Practical experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. Strong ERP or MRP experience and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. What Experience Is Nice to Have Experience with custom fabrication, millwork, signage, print, woodworking, or metal fabrication. Epicor ERP experience. Smartsheet experience. Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, operations management, business, or a related field.
