Dentist Full Time Salary Carrollton, New Orleans, LA, US The Dentist is responsible for providing compassionate, high-quality dental care to our patients. Provide leadership and direction to Dental Hygienists and support team members in all areas of DCSNO patient treatment. Duties and Responsibilities Diagnose dental conditions and plan oral health care in consultation with patients and parents Ensure treatment plan is reviewed with each patient / parent and informed consent is granted for treatments rendered Provide great customer service by offering same day care when possible and ensuring parent / patient satisfaction Educate patients and parents about improving and maintaining oral health care Obtain diagnostic pre-operative radiographs for every procedure Local Anesthesia must be limited appropriately Effectively and safely administer behavior management techniques to enable delivery of dental care especially for uncooperative children Develop treatment plans for patients consistent with the American Dental Association Guidelines Adhere to all federal and government regulations, including the state dental board rules and regulations, HIPPA and OSHA regulations Conduct behavior in a manner that is professional and courteous to all patients, parents, and office staff at all times Consistently portray a positive working attitude that fosters a pleasant work environment Maintain a consistent schedule in response to patient need Physical Demands Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time; ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds and be able to twist, turn, bend and stoop. Working Conditions Majority of work performed in a clinical environment. Requires availability for extended hours during peak patient periods. Hours may change to meet the business needs. Requirements DDS/DMD from a dental education program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. Two (2) years practice experience and/or completion of a residency from an accredited postgraduate program.
