This will include a high level of engagement with internal stakeholders and field operations to deliver initiatives that support our customers and team members worldwide. This role will provide executive level content support, meeting facilitation, airport alignment to company’s goals, providing expertise and resource to support key initiatives, identifying and framing issues, driving decisions, and building project plans and monitoring execution. The role is a part of the Baggage team within our Airports Excellence group. As a Project Manager in Customer and Operational Excellence, you will advance initiatives that improve processes, maximize internal business solutions, and help transform data into actionable insights. You will: Play a key role in developing long term strategy within Airports. This includes a high level of engagement with internal stakeholders and field operations to deliver initiatives that support our customers and team members worldwide. Enable team members to leverage digital resources and continually improve airport processes allowing every team member to best serve our customers. This role will provide executive level content support, meeting facilitation, airport alignment to company’s goals, providing expertise and resource to support key initiatives, identifying and framing issues, driving decisions, and building project plans and monitoring execution. Apply your creativity and curiosity to rapid problem-solving and building better experiences for AA team members. Synthesize business problems for senior leaders, identify strategic options, define outcomes and gain consensus among leaders Represent airport operations in planning and implementation of a wide range of projects that lead to better bag performance Coordinate initiatives within the team and across various departments to ensure efficiency and consistency of execution through the promotion of best practices Ensure clarity of business requirements from stakeholders to enable proper planning and design of new initiatives Participate in project meetings, provides strategic and analytical support, and manages project progress, issues, and risks Partner with the larger Airports Excellence organization to ensure consistency and efficient use of resources across the organization Provides strategic thought leadership in support of airport operation All you'll need for success Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training 3+ years of professional experience in the airline industry Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Previous project management experience with ability to lead, organize and prioritize projects Collaborative with proven ability to work effectively as part of a team Effective decision-making based on a combination of data-driven analysis and strategic consideration Attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills including leadership, collaboration, consensus-building, and cultural awareness Proven ability to develop strong relationships and work effectively across groups Ability to build strong consensus and achieve results though other Proven collaboration successes across a wide variety of projects Skills, Licenses & Certifications Previous project management experience with ability to lead, organize and prioritize projects Collaborative with proven ability to work effectively as part of a team Effective decision-making based on a combination of data-driven analysis and strategic consideration Attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills including leadership, collaboration, consensus-building, and cultural awareness Proven ability to develop strong relationships and work effectively across groups Ability to build strong consensus and achieve results though other Proven collaboration successes across a wide variety of projects Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook What you'll get Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
