- Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour
- Weekly Pay
- Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
- Location: Chesapeake, VA
- Temp-to-Permanent Opportunity
- Opportunity for Advancement to Delivery Driver after meeting required hours and performance expectations
Skills and Experience
What You'll Do
As a Material Handler / Driver Helper, you'll work alongside experienced drivers to safely deliver premium garage doors, windows, and related building materials to residential and commercial customers.
Daily Responsibilities Include:
- Load and unload garage doors, windows, door components, tracks, hardware, and building materials
- Assist the driver with deliveries to homes, construction sites, and businesses
- Secure materials for safe transportation
- Carry products weighing 5070 pounds with a team member when needed
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions while loading and unloading deliveries
- Verify orders for accuracy before deliveries
- Provide friendly, professional customer service during deliveries
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and lifting techniques
What We're Looking For
Previous material handling, warehouse, or delivery experience preferred Comfortable lifting 5070 pounds throughout the shift Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Excellent attendance and reliability Positive attitude and strong work ethic Team player with good communication skills Customer service experience is a plus Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen Ability to pass a background check
