Systems Administrator (Windows), Principal Specialist P3 This Principal Windows System Administrator based in Plano, TX will collaborate with many teams to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement and maintain secure, cost‑efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end‑to‑end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems. What You Will Do Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment. Windows Server management fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods. Provide advanced support on L2/L3 tickets and troubleshoot technical issues reported by users. Administer and optimize virtualization platforms. SharePoint administration to create and manage sites, manage sharing settings, manage groups, and manage site storage limits. Work extensively with SharePoint to support content management and collaboration needs. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity, including integration of hardware and operating systems (OS). Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned. Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD)8140/8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date. Develop and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices. Systems are operational 24h/7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours. Travel is required to other US domestic locations as business needs dictate up to 10% travel. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience. Must have active and transferable U.S. government‑issued top security clearance prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. U.S. citizenship is required. Must have experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server and client operating systems. Must have SharePoint administration experience. Must have experience in one or more of the following: VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), ESX and/or other virtual computing methods. Scripting experience. Experience with developing documentation and communicating technical processes. Qualifications We Prefer Department of Defense Directive (DoDD)8140/8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification). Experience with Containerization Technologies such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Tanzu, and Rancher. Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery Tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps. Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF. In-depth working experience with Windows Server. Experience with SQL Server administration. Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions – Centrify. Experience with JBoss, Apache or similar configuration. Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes. Experience using VMware vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods. Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development. Relocation Eligibility– This role is relocation eligible for the selected applicant, but they must meet company policy criteria. Salary range for this role is$86,800USD–$165,200USD.
