Health Office Aide- PRN/As Needed/Casual Status

Health Office Aide Stewartville School District is seeking a PRN/As Needed/Casual Status/No FTE health office health aide. This part-time casual status job involves working as needed to provide part-time coverage of school health offices and assisting with vision and hearing screening or with other healthcare related needs in the district. This role involves assisting sick or injured students who come to the health office, distributing scheduled medication, and maintaining health records as needed. Training will be provided by the Licensed School Nurse. No health office experience is required. Practical general computer experience is desired. Experience in healthcare or daycare or secretarial experience is preferred but not required. Hours range from 7:30 am to 3:15 pm as needed by the district and as you are available. You must be available to work at least a minimum of "1" shift per quarter and attendance at occasional meetings is required. This position is a great fit for a candidate who is interested in a part-time position working occasional shifts in the school health office setting helping students with basic health needs. Personal Care Assistant, Nursing Assistant or similar certification or some type of patient care experience is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided by District Licensed School Nurse. Preference given to candidates that are available to work 2 or more shifts per quarter. Must be willing to be CPR/Basic Life Support certified, but training will be provided. Salary/Rate of Pay: $17.50 per hour
