Position Overview

As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating event revenue, cultivating client relationships, and guiding prospective clients through the sales process from initial inquiry through contract execution. Working closely with resort operations teams, you'll ensure every event is positioned for success while maximizing revenue and guest satisfaction.

Your ability to build relationships, negotiate contracts, and create customized event experiences will directly contribute to the resort's continued growth and success.

What You'll Do

• Generate wedding, social event, and group business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and inbound inquiries
• Conduct site tours and showcase the resort's event venues, guest accommodations, golf amenities, dining options, and event services
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with wedding planners, event professionals, local businesses, and community organizations
• Prepare proposals, contracts, and event agreements that align with client needs and resort objectives
• Negotiate contracts while balancing guest satisfaction and profitability
• Maintain consistent communication with prospective and confirmed clients throughout the sales process
• Collaborate with Catering, Food & Beverage, Operations, and Resort Leadership teams to ensure seamless event execution
• Attend bridal shows, networking events, community functions, and industry events to promote the resort
• Maintain accurate client records, sales activities, and forecasting reports
• Meet or exceed individual sales goals and revenue targets
• Follow all company Sales and Catering Standard Operating Procedures
• Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and local event opportunities

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 3-5 years of hospitality, wedding, event, catering, or hotel sales experience preferred
• Resort, wedding venue, or luxury hospitality experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
• Proven success in driving revenue growth and closing sales
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple events, clients, and priorities simultaneously
• Experience negotiating contracts and managing client expectations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and sales/catering management systems
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating across departments
• Professional presence, strong attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality
• Flexible schedule with the ability to attend evening and weekend events as needed
