The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Rockford that are seeking Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialists. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate AP records.
- Generate customer invoices and statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and initiate collection efforts for overdue accounts.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments to vendors.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations for AP/AR.
Recommended Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to reconcile complex accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems specific to manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Familiarity with the procure-to-pay and order-to-cash cycles in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of cost accounting principles relevant to manufactured goods.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., advanced Excel, Power BI) for financial insights.
