Facilities Supervisor

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing facility maintenance, utilities, building systems, and infrastructure activities supporting the Prolong Pharmaceuticals manufacturing site. This position provides daily leadership of facility operations while serving as a hands-on technical resource capable of performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response activities as needed.

The Facilities Supervisor serves as the primary technical backup to the Facility Mechanic and is responsible for responding to facility alarms, assessing abnormal conditions, coordinating repairs, and escalating issues that may impact employee safety, product quality, GMP operations, critical utilities, equipment, or business continuity.

This role supports the reliable operation of facility and GMP utility systems, including Water for Injection (WFI), Clean Compressed Air (CCA), HVAC, BMS/EMS, electrical distribution, and other critical infrastructure. The Facilities Supervisor works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, EHS, and external service providers to ensure facility systems remain safe, compliant, reliable, and capable of supporting manufacturing operations.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesFacility Operations & Maintenance

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day facility      maintenance, utilities, infrastructure, and work order activities to      ensure safe, reliable, and compliant facility operations that support      manufacturing requirements.
• Plan, prioritize, assign, and monitor      preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring timely      completion, proper documentation, and effective utilization of maintenance      management systems.
• Monitor facility performance, capacity,      reliability, and operational risks, communicating and escalating issues      that may impact safety, quality, GMP operations, utilities, or business      continuity.

Technical Support, Utilities & Emergency Response

• Serve as the primary technical backup      for the Facility Mechanic and provide hands-on maintenance,      troubleshooting, repair, and emergency response support for facility,      utility, and building systems as required.
• Support the operation, maintenance, and      reliability of critical utility and facility systems, including WFI, Clean      Compressed Air, boilers, steam, HVAC, BMS/EMS, electrical distribution,      emergency generators, plumbing, refrigeration, cold storage, fire protection,      security systems, and general building infrastructure.
• Respond to facility alarms and abnormal      operating conditions, perform initial troubleshooting, coordinate repairs,      document response activities, and support investigations and corrective      actions.

Compliance, Documentation & Inspection Readiness

• Ensure facility and utility activities      are conducted in compliance with cGMP, GDP, company procedures, and      applicable regulatory requirements while maintaining accurate maintenance,      utility, inspection, and work order records.
• Support deviations, investigations,      CAPAs, change controls, and continuous improvement initiatives related to      facility operations and utility systems.
• Maintain facility operations in a      continuous state of audit and inspection readiness and serve as a subject      matter expert during internal audits, client audits, and regulatory      inspections.

Contractor & Personnel Management

• Provide leadership, technical guidance,      training, and development for facility personnel while ensuring      appropriate cross-training and backup coverage for critical facility      functions.
• Coordinate and oversee contractors and      service providers supporting facility, utility, and infrastructure      systems, ensuring compliance with site safety, GMP, and operational      requirements.
• Support performance management,      workforce development, and knowledge transfer initiatives to strengthen      organizational capability and reduce single-point dependencies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Safety

• Partner with Manufacturing,      Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, and EHS to minimize operational      disruptions and ensure facility systems effectively support GMP      operations.
• Promote a strong Environmental, Health      and Safety (EHS) culture by ensuring compliance with safety procedures,      PPE requirements, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices, and the safe handling      of biological, chemical, and hazardous materials.
• Support emergency response, business      continuity, risk mitigation, and workplace safety initiatives while      maintaining clean, organized, and safe facility work areas.

Qualifications

• Technical certification, Associate's      degree, or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Facilities      Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive      experience in facilities maintenance, utilities, engineering support, or      industrial maintenance, preferably within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology,      or other regulated manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience supporting      critical utility systems such as WFI, water systems, compressed air,      boilers, HVAC, electrical distribution, refrigeration, or similar      industrial infrastructure.
• Previous experience supervising      maintenance personnel, contractors, or technical service providers      preferred.
• Working knowledge of mechanical,      electrical, plumbing, HVAC, steam, compressed air, building automation      systems, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Strong understanding of cGMP, GDP, data      integrity, deviation management, CAPA, change control, and regulatory      inspection readiness.
• Ability to work independently, respond      effectively to urgent situations, and manage multiple priorities in a      fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, communication,      organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

· Ability to perform the physical demands of facility maintenance, including working in mechanical, utility, manufacturing, and outdoor environments while wearing required PPE.

· Ability to safely lift and move tools, materials, and equipment in accordance with established safety requirements.

· Ability to work flexible schedules and respond to facility emergencies, including overtime, weekends, and on-call assignments as required.
