PROPERTY MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATES (PMA) is looking for an experienced and motivated Area Property Manager to oversee five well-maintained apartment communities in Hawthorne, totaling 109 units. All properties are located within a few miles of each other, making this an ideal opportunity for a property management professional seeking a better work-life balance with minimal commuting.

This position includes a free one-bedroom apartment , continued training, and opportunities for career growth within a respected property management company.

Compensation & Perks

• $24.00 – $27.00 per hour

What You'll Do

As Property Manager, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day operations, appearance, leasing, resident relations, and overall performance of the assigned communities.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee the daily operations of five residential properties totaling 109 units.
• Maintain a strong presence at the properties and provide exceptional service to residents.
• Conduct daily and weekly comprehensive property inspections , with particular attention to preventative maintenance items.
• Identify maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and curb-appeal issues and ensure they are addressed promptly.
• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule maintenance staff and vendors.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and team members.
• Market available apartments and actively participate in leasing efforts to maintain strong occupancy.
• Conduct property tours and follow up with prospective residents.
• Oversee rental applications, move-ins, move-outs, renewals, and resident communications.
• Maintain accurate property records and utilize Yardi Voyager for property accounting and management functions.
• Monitor property financial activity and assist with budgeting and accounting responsibilities.
• Handle resident concerns and work to resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and property standards are consistently followed.
• Manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of organization.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities and work one weekend day as required.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced Area Property Manager who is professional, organized, proactive, and takes ownership of their communities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of conventional multifamily property management experience
• Experience with property management software, preferably Yardi
• Strong understanding of property accounting and operational reporting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications
• Proven success in apartment marketing, leasing, and resident relations
• Ability to effectively supervise maintenance staff and vendors
• Must live on-site
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance required
