Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness and Chief Learning Officer

the client is seeking a transformational, enterprise-level leader to serve as Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness and Chief Learning Officer (CLO). In this newly elevated role, the CLO will shape leadership capability, organizational effectiveness, and culture, supporting a broader institutional transformation and a multi-year enterprise strategy. The position is expected to leave a lasting enterprise impact by strengthening culture, building leadership capacity, and enabling sustainable institutional performance at scale. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the CLO will design and lead an integrated, enterprise-wide approach to leadership development, learning, and talent systems. This role extends beyond traditional learning functions by aligning leaders and operating models with strategy, strengthening organizational performance, and embedding scalable systems that drive sustained results in a highly complex academic health environment. The CLO will lead and develop a team of approximately 40 professionals across learning and organizational effectiveness, with high accountability for significant human and financial resources, and will evaluate, realign, and scale the function to meet evolving enterprise needs. The ideal candidate will be an expert in designing and shaping organizational culture through both behaviors and systems. The role will manage and grow the function over time as needed to meet enterprise demands. Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership experience in building enterprise learning and organizational effectiveness capabilities and in establishing scalable talent and operating mechanisms that improve leadership readiness and organizational outcomes.
