This position is located in Roy, Utah and supports the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.What You'll Get To Do:Author/support the development of requirements that are compliant with Human Factors best practices and specified sections of MIL-STD-1472GHuman Factors Analyses (including, but not limited to: task analyses, predictive workload analyses, interface prototyping and analysis, and design-for-maintainability (DFM) analysis)Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specificationsConduct computer-based (NX) and empirical accessibility assessmentsAuthor/support the program documentation of the HFE processes and products in a format consistent with US Military Data Item Descriptions (e.g. Human Engineering Program Plan, Human Engineering Design Approach Document - Operator, Human Engineering Design Approach Document - Maintainer, Human Engineering Test Plan, Human Engineering Test Report, etc.)Cross-IPT CollaborationDesign and develop workstation geometry and layout controls and displays to accommodate the full anthropometric range of expected usersBasic Qualifications This requisition may be filled at either the Engineer level (T-02) or Principal Engineer level (T-03). Required for Both Levels:Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 yearsMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needsDemonstrated experience applying HFE principles to projectsHuman Factors Engineer (T02 Level):Educational background in psychology, human factors, user experience, graphic design, industrial design, or HCI-related field from an accredited university, and at least 2 years of related experience with a Bachelors; OR at least 1 Years of relevant experience with a Masters degree. An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degreeHuman Factors Principal Engineer (T03 Level):Educational background in psychology, human factors, user experience, graphic design, industrial design, or HCI-related field from an accredited university, and at least 5 years of related experience with a bachelors; OR at least 3 Years of relevant experience with a master's degree; OR 1 Year with a PhD degree.
