Founded in 1996 in South Africa and identified in London Stock Exchange's '1000 Companies to Inspire Britain', M&S Logistics is a global tank container operator specialising in the intermodal transport of bulk liquids with a fleet size of over 9,500 tank containers. The company's headquarters is in the UK with offices in the Netherlands, Singapore, South Africa, Korea, China, Dubai, Thailand, Taiwan, India, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia and The Americas with further office openings planned this year.

The purpose of this role is:

To coordinate activities of export shipments globally by providing exceptional customer service through focusing on the individual directly or through the support of the team members, promoting long-term customer relationships and customer loyalty.

What you will do:

• Communicating with trucking companies, shipping lines and customers
• Coordinating and scheduling pick-up of bulk liquid products with customers and trucking companies
• Booking tank containers with steamship lines
• Issuing instructions for export/import shipments
• Working closely with overseas offices regarding pending shipments
• Establishing good relationships with customers and vendors
• Updating and maintaining shipment information in our in-house system

What you will bring:

The nature of the role requires the ideal candidate to have previous experience of working in international transportation or the logistics industry and it is desirable but not essential that this experience has been gained in the Tank Container Industry. Good IT, verbal and written skills are essential to the role as well as a high ability to solve problems and seek alternative solutions combined with excellent follow-up skills. In order to support the company's values and behaviours, the candidate should be a good team player with a professional work ethic, presentation and character.
