One Tech Engineering is searching for a Designer for a position located in Eau Claire or Menomonie, Wisconsin. The Designer will design and manage electric distribution projects for new and existing customers.
The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate will have several years of professional work experience and basic electrical knowledge or background.
Designer Responsibilities:
- Interact with customers and address their project needs.
- Manage projects from planning through execution.
- Conduct field assessments and surveys.
- Perform system design using GE Smallworld (customized GIS).
- Size transformers, plan underground cable routes, and determine pole placement.
- Review SAP for new customer contacts.
- Attend weekly scheduling meetings and team coordination sessions.
Requirements of the Designer:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1–2+ years of professional work experience.
- Basic electrical knowledge or background.
- Previous experience in electrical or utility fields preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- GIS or AutoCAD experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
