Security & Privileged Access Lead Engineer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 5+ years of applied experience.
• We look for hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We need advanced Java and Shell Scripting skills, plus strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• We expect experience working on Linux-based systems, with proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• We require experience with authentication, authorization, encryption, and role- and attribute-based access controls (RBAC and ABAC).
• We value advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security, with expertise across the full software development life cycle.
• We seek practical experience with cloud-native technologies and real-time messaging.
• We need experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases in technical areas such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
• We require demonstrated experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools, with the ability to set expectations for validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• We expect a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security standards, along with experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.

• We design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver creative software solutions that go beyond routine approaches.
• We build secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We identify opportunities to automate or remove recurring remediation work to improve application and system stability.
• We lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical capability, and fit within our existing systems and information architecture.
• We lead communities of practice across software engineering to promote awareness and adoption of emerging technologies.
• We drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• We apply knowledge of software development life cycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered through automation.
