Sr Lead Software Engineer - AWS, Terraform

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We expect formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of practical experience.
• We need experience designing and building software with AWS services, especially database products.
• We require background in cloud security, governance, and identity and access management.
• We look for hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We need strong coding skills with modern scripting languages and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• We require expertise in Python and Terraform.
• We expect experience delivering and supporting large-scale AWS production infrastructure.
• We need advanced knowledge of AWS services for traditional compute, containerized, and serverless architectures.
• We require proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• We value demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-approved AI-assisted software development tools, with clear validation standards for correctness, performance, and security.
• We expect a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security controls.
• We prefer a background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• We prefer at least one AWS certification, such as Solution Architect Professional, Developer, or Data Engineer.
• We prefer Terraform Certified Associate certification.
• We prefer expert-level experience with Jira, Bitbucket, GitHub, and Confluence.
• We prefer experience leading technology projects.

• We provide technical direction and guidance to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We shape decisions that affect product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
• We lead adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• We apply knowledge of SDLC toolchain capabilities, including approved AI-assisted development and automation tools, to increase the value of automation at scale.
• We serve as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
• We contribute to the engineering community by advocating firmwide SDLC frameworks, tools, and practices.
• We influence peers and project decision-makers to adopt leading-edge technologies.
