We are currently seeking an MRO Buyer who has the drive and motivation to grow in an expanding business.

Position Overview

The MRO Buyer will implement purchasing activities in compliance with mandated requirements; overseeing daily activities; responding to a range of inquiries regarding processes pertaining to Maintenance, Repair or Overhaul purchases, bid status; and achieving department objectives and goals within budget.

The Role

• Involved with procuring goods and services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, etc.
• Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
• Estimates values according to knowledge of market price.
• Prepare purchase orders or bid requests.
• Must be able to determine when orders need expediting, knowledge of quotation process, and handle backorder issues by other means of procurement if necessary.
• Issue purchase orders as needed for completing the purchasing process in accordance with established procedures.

Desired Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years of purchasing experience
• MRP/MPS Experience preferred
• Working knowledge or ability to understand Purchase Price Variance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
