Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Egg Harbor, NJ. Work Schedule Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm and rotating Saturdays. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as required. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program, or 3 months or more of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must be from an accredited agency if experience is lacking. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Pay Range $17.75-24 per hour. Benefits Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees working fewer than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) plan. Employees scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO. Phlebotomist’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Role Overview Phlebotomist will work either in a Patient Service Center or a client office, providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and serving as the face of the company.
