Phlebotomist (per-diem)

Job Summary Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Egg Harbor, NJ. Work Schedule As needed Monday – Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm and rotating Saturdays. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or three months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications At least one year of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification must come from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Pay Range $17.75 – $24 per hour. Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k) (with company match), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours, casual, intern, or temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible for all benefits except PTO or FTO. Additional benefits include a participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
