Group Fitness Instructor

Our fitness studio is booming, and we're searching for a fun and dynamic fitness instructor who can lead new and engaging classes for our members. You'll be responsible for organizing and teaching exercise classes for a range of various-sized groups. While we want our programs to be physically challenging, we also prioritize safety and matching the fitness levels of our participants. Responsibilities: • Provide excellent customer services according to company standards • Promote programs, classes, and membership through social media and networking • Teach fitness classes to different-sized groups of fitness studio members and guests • Ensure that classes are fun and engaging while also being physically challenging and safe for participants • Remind and assist students in making healthy lifestyle choices by encouraging them to keep up their exercise routines • Lead Group Fitness Classes : Design and teach dynamic Strength and Development classes for groups of varying sizes and fitness levels • Tailor Workouts : Modify exercises to accommodate individual member needs and fitness levels, ensuring challenges are met safely • Create Engaging Workouts : Develop innovative and motivating class formats that keep members engaged, challenged, and excited to return • Ensure Safety : Monitor proper form and technique to minimize injury risks, providing corrections and feedback when necessary • Provide Support : Offer encouragement and guidance to participants, creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere in each class • Maintain Class Energy : Keep energy levels high, maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude throughout each session • Track Member Progress : Monitor and track the progress of members and offer feedback and modifications to help them achieve their fitness goals Qualifications: • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification (GED) • This role requires fitness instructor certification • Must have a strong focus on putting the guest first with exceptional customer service experience • Possesses strong, organizational and time management skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members • Must have an accredited Personal Training/Group Fitness/Strength and Conditioning certification, preferably NSCA CSCS certification, with 1+ years of experience • Knowledge of Exercise Science: understanding of safe, effective training techniques • Experience leading group classes: ability to manage and motivate diverse groups • Strong Communication and Leadership Skills: clear, energetic, and encouraging instruction, and the ability to lead a group of all fitness levels Compensation: $22 - $25 hourly
