Job Description: Sales Manager — Front Desk & Member Experience

Part-Time (approx. 20–25 hours/week-with additional hours as we expand)

About the Studio

The Vital Stretch Cherry Hill is a new boutique wellness studio opening in fall 2026, on Route 70 in Cherry Hill Township, offering one-on-one assisted stretching, personal mobility and strength training, and infrared sauna. Our sessions are delivered by trained practitioners in a private, appointment-based setting, and our business is built on recurring memberships and long-term member relationships.

Position Summary

The Sales Manager is the first person our members meet and the engine behind our membership growth. This role owns new member sales and member retention while running the front desk: welcoming and checking in clients, handling intake for new visitors, answering phones, keeping the studio guest-ready between sessions, and supporting day-to-day administration. This is a hands-on, on-your-feet role for someone who genuinely enjoys people and takes pride in hitting a number. The position begins part-time, with hours and responsibility expected to grow with the studio’s membership base.

Sales & New Member Growth

– Convert introductory sessions and walk-in inquiries into memberships; present membership options clearly and confidently, leading with the 60-minute flagship session.

– Own the founding-member drive during the studio’s launch period, including outreach, follow-up with interested prospects, and tour scheduling.

– Follow up promptly on every lead from phone, web, and in-studio inquiries; maintain accurate prospect records in the studio’s membership system.

– Support local promotional efforts (community events, neighborhood partnerships) as directed by the Studio Owner.

Member Retention & Recovery

– Make same-day outreach calls to no-shows and late cancellations and rebook them before the end of the day.

– Rebook members for their next visit at checkout, before they leave the building.

– Execute the studio’s onboarding and win-back communication sequences (calls, texts, emails) on schedule.

– Proactively contact members whose visit patterns indicate cancellation risk as per the studio playbook.

Front Desk & Customer Intake

– Greet and check in every client warmly and by name; manage the daily appointment schedule and session flow.

– Handle new-client intake: waivers, health questionnaires, membership agreements, and scheduling of first sessions.

– Process payments, membership enrollments, changes, and holds accurately in the point-of-sale system.

Administrative

– Answer phones and respond to voicemails, texts, and emails promptly and professionally.– Maintain accurate member records, daily booking reports, and end-of-day reconciliation.

– Manage retail and supply inventory levels, and flag reorders; open and/or close the studio per checklist.

Studio Presentation & Turnover

– Clean and reset stretch tables, PT area, and sauna room between clients (wipe-down, linens, sanitization per studio standards).

– Keep the lobby, restrooms, and common areas clean, stocked, and guest-ready throughout the shift.

Compensation

Hourly base pay for all scheduled hours, plus a commission per new membership sold (paid the following pay period) and a quarterly retention bonus can be earned. Non-exempt hourly position; overtime paid in accordance with New Jersey and federal law.

Schedule & Growth Path

Approximately 20–25 hours per week to start, including some evening and weekend shifts; scheduled hours are guaranteed and paid regardless of client volume. As membership grows, this role is expected to expand to full-time hours and broader studio management responsibilities.

Qualifications

-A minimum of 2+ years in sales, membership sales, hospitality, or customer-facing sales/service (fitness/wellness studio experience a plus).

– Comfortable asking for the sale and making outbound calls; motivated by commission and measurable goals.

– Organized, reliable, and proficient with scheduling/point-of-sale software (Mindbody or similar a plus).

– Warm, professional communication in person, by phone, and in writing.

– Able to be on your feet for extended periods and perform light cleaning duties throughout each shift.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
