Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay Rate: $27.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience

Tool Room Machinist Job Description:

• Fabricate, repair, and maintain precision tooling, fixtures, jigs, and components used throughout the manufacturing process
• Set up and operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, EDM equipment, and other machining equipment to produce high-precision parts
• Program CNC machines using CAM software and write, modify, or optimize CNC programs
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T specifications, and CAD models
• Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment, to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met
• Set up and maintain tooling, fixtures, and jigs for manufacturing operations
• Perform routine maintenance on machining equipment and troubleshoot CNC programming and mechanical issues
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other shop tools safely and effectively
• Assist with the assembly of machined components as needed
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling, machining, and manufacturing processes
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures

Tool Room Machinist Job Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Tool Room Machinist, CNC Machinist, or in a similar precision machining role
• Proficiency in CNC programming using Fanuc controls or similar systems
• Strong knowledge of GD&T principles, blueprint reading, and mechanical drawings
• Hands-on experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes
• Experience with EDM equipment strongly preferred
• Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD software, and CAM programming
• Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
• Experience with tooling setup, fixtures, jigs, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes preferred
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices is a plus
• Strong math, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
