Human Resources Generalist Dessert Holdings is seeking a dynamic and self‑driven Human Resources Generalist to support our manufacturing facility in Smyrna, GA. This role will serve as a key support partner to employees, leadership, and the Human Resources team while assisting with day‑to‑day HR operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, can work independently with minimal supervision, and is comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities while partnering closely with leadership. Key Responsibilities Lead full‑cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and supervisors at the Smyrna location Provide guidance and support regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, attendance, and employee concerns Maintain consistent communication with the HR Manager and leadership teams across both facilities Support employee relations matters, coaching conversations, disciplinary documentation, and workplace investigations as needed Maintain and update HRIS, ADP, and Time Clock Plus systems with accurate employee information Manage onboarding processes, including new hire paperwork, I-9 completion, E-Verify, badge creation, and orientation support Maintain employee files and conduct audits to ensure compliance and document accuracy Assist with terminations, unemployment requests, and other HR administrative processes Support temporary workforce management, including time tracking and communication with staffing agencies Assist with communication boards, internal postings, engagement initiatives, and HR‑related projects Partner with the HR team at the Kennesaw facility as business needs evolve and provide cross‑location support when needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications 25 years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or fast‑paced environment preferred Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance processes Experience with HRIS systems, and/or timekeeping systems preferred Bilingual Spanish Preferred Haitian Creole is a plus Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to build relationships with employees and leadership teams Professional, adaptable, and team‑oriented mindset About Dessert Holdings Dessert Holdings is a collection of premium dessert companies and brands: The Original Cakerie, Lawler's Desserts, Atlanta Cheesecake Company, Steven Charles, Dianne's Fine Desserts, Kenny's Great Pies, and Willamette Valley Pie Company.
